Pi Breakfast and Pies

Here's another brilliant breakfast place to include in your must try's when you are in Metro Manila. This is our second time to visit Pi Breakfast and Pies. We were in awe the first time we ate here, therefore we came back after a week's interval. This is located in Malingap Street, Teacher's Village in Quezon City. I'm glad it's close to home.

I'm totally smitten with the restaurant's creative interiors. The chairs from the 1950's, wire whisk-inspired lamps, the combination of smooth concrete and white bricks for the walls each blend perfectly together to exude a homey, artisanal bakery atmosphere.

Ahhh, the aroma of baked goods...

Mike wanted to bring his dad to let him taste our new favorite dish: Kitayama Wagyu Beef Sirloin Tapa served with kimchi fried rice, five-minute egg and atchara (pickled papaya) and the Gruyere Apple Pie. Just typing the name of the dish, description and dessert makes me hungry all over again. The price is reasonable too!

The genius behind Pi Breakfast and Pies is Chef Edward Bugia who is also behind Pino Resto Bar, Pipino Vegetarian Food by Pino, BRGR: The Burger Project, Brgy. Bagnet, Bulalo Boy and Daily Squeeze.

On my next visit, I will try the Caramelized Spam and Dark Chocolate Champorado. Gotta love breakfast and brunch!
