Strutting the Streets of Toronto

Toronto is the provincial capital of Ontario and the financial capital of Canada. It is a big, beautiful and efficient city. It's like New York but with a slightly different character. I didn't get to do all the nitty gritty in the city but that's alright because we are planning to move there anyway, hopefully soonish.

We rode the GO bus and the GO train from Brampton at one time. Then drove to the city from Orangeville the second time. Special thanks to our relatives who were very kind to accompany us and show us around.

We decided to be a little touristy and went to see the CN Tower and Casa Loma. The CN (Canadian National) Tower is a communications and observation tower located in downtown Toronto while Casa Loma is a majestic castle complete with decorated suites, secret passages, an 800-foot tunnel, towers, stables, and beautiful 5-acre estate garden which is now a local landmark and museum located in midtown.

We also experienced riding the subway like a local, shopping at Eaton Centre (+ 13% tax boo!) and strutting the streets of York and Chinatown.

For me, Tim Horton's is the number one coffee shop in Canada and Second Cup places second. This coffee shop was recommended by a cousin-in-law. I ordered their Frrrozen Hot Chocolate. It was sooo sinfully delicious!

We were able to pass by Royal York Hotel where Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II resides during her visits to Canada.

I love the colorful ethnic mix, the beautiful architecture and poutine! I can't wait to go back hopefully on a permanent basis.

Happy Thanksgiving!
