A Weekend in Niagara Falls

When we went for a visit to Ontario Canada, Mike's uncle and his family took us one weekend to Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake.

Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls (Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls) that straddle between the international border of the Canadian Province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York while Niagara on the Lake is known as the loveliest town in Ontario where Niagara River meets Lake Ontario. Both areas have eclectic restaurants, contemporary/upscale hotels, fun attractions and more.

We rode the Sky Wheel (Giant Ferris Wheel) together with my husband's cousin Naomi.

and saw this breath-taking view from up here...

Now I understand why it is undoubtedly the most famous waterfall in the world.

Besides the fabulous falls, I fell in love with the quaint picturesque village of Niagara on the Lake and its charming Victorian architecture. This town has a lot to offer. From antique shops, bed & breakfasts, horse-drawn carriage rides, restaurants and wineries. It's like stepping into a movie set.

I can't wait to go back!
